The Eastern Michigan University College Democrats is a student-run organization looking to involve itself in the local, state, and federal issues and to motivate the youth of America to create the future they want to see. We are determined to elect in democratic officials into positions of all governmental levels, work closely with those from Ypsilanti and nearby cities, and empower students to do more and be heard in their community. We encourage our students to meet with elected officials to bridge the gap between politicians and students, getting their voices into every space with open ears. The organization has a strong focus on women's rights, racial injustice, LGBTQ+ rights and promoting progressive democratic ideals for our country.
